New Mexico

We live in the "Land of Enchantment"  Our town is 25 miles south of Albuquerque in a town called Los Lunas.  Our school is Tomé Elementary.  We would like to tell you a little about our state and the cool things you can do.  Last week our state hosted the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta!  This when people from all over the world come to our state.  At the fiesta you can walk around while people are inflating their Hot Air Balloons.  Seven of us have actually been able to take a ride in one.  A favorite balloon is the pig. Bet you didn't know pigs could fly!

Last month we had the State Fair.  There were all kinds of rides and things to do.  Brianna thinks the State Fair is Awsome!

Our classes favorite basketball and football teams are the New Mexico LOBOS.  A Lobo is a wolf. 

Have you heard of Smokey the Bear?  New Mexico is the home of Smokey.

We have a very cool amusement park named Cliffs.  It even has a swimming pool called Monkey Island. 

New Mexico is also the home of the awesome Carlsbad Caverns.  They are Caves full of natural geological creation.  It is full of stalactites and stalagmites.  It is also full of bats!
